A turbo coupling (also known as a hydraulic coupling) is a key power transmission component widely used in marine, industrial, and heavy-duty machinery. It transmits power between the motor and working machine (such as pumps, fans, winches, and conveyors) through the flow of hydraulic oil, acting as a “flexible connector” to buffer load impacts and protect the drive system.
- Power transmission with flexibility: Transmits torque smoothly via hydraulic oil circulation, avoiding rigid connections between motor and equipment to reduce mechanical shock.
- Load buffering & protection: Absorbs startup and operational shocks, prevents motor overload during equipment startup, and extends the service life of motors, gears, and other components.
- Speed regulation & energy saving: Adjusts output speed by changing the oil filling amount (for variable-speed models), optimizing operation efficiency and reducing energy consumption in variable-load scenarios.
- Multi-scenario adaptation: Commonly used in marine auxiliary machinery (pumps, blowers), industrial conveyors, mining machinery, and port winches, especially suitable for heavy-load startup and continuous operation equipment.
