Laser Cladding

Core Functions and Applications
Laser cladding is a core technology for repairing worn or corroded components of marine hydraulic equipment. It uses a non-contact high-energy laser beam to clad metal powders (stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, etc.) onto damaged surfaces, enabling precise repair of key components such as hydraulic cylinder piston rods, pump shafts, motor shafts, and valve block sealing surfaces. This avoids high costs and long lead times associated with component replacement. It is widely used in the maintenance of deck hydraulic systems for bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, and other vessel types, compatible with international brand hydraulic equipment including STAFFA, KAYABA, IHI, and Mitsubishi.
